God Blessed Me
Can’t let today pass by without celebrating this woman God blessed me with.
It’s been eight years ago February 8th. It was uncertain if Barb would survive or if I’d loose my precious bride before we really had the opportunity to life together.
Barb and I were married 2 1/2 years, but most of that time she spent in and out of hospitals (more in then out).
Against all odds, Barb not only survived, but now thrives. Of course that doesn’t mean she’s pain-free, not by a long shot. Because of a permanent ostomy, and monthly infusions, the Crohn’s is manageable. But a badly deformed hand (which happened just prior to surgery, which is a story for another time), fibromyalgia, arthritis, extremely low iron & potassium, doing life remains a daily struggle.
In the last 10-1/2 years (we were wed July 4th 2008), we’ve celebrated weddings, anniversaries, and 3 precious grand babies. We built our current home and lost far too many loved ones and friends: my father, John, in August 2016 and Barb’s dad, Richard, in November of 2017. We’ve also had our share of heartbreak and disappointments, but I’m here to say without a doubt, I love this woman more every single day.
Thank you Jesus for resurrecting my wife. Happy 8th Re-Birthday sweetheart!
